New Orleans Voodoo Museum St Pierre Hotel and more

French Quarter - New Orleans

Soon to follow will be a post about historical locations in New Orleans. Yesterday I visited the very interesting Voodoo Museum and met the interesting John T Martin, druid and voodoo priest. Today’s trips include St Louis Cathedral and St Louis Cemetery #1. I may have a photo or two either her or on our page at Ghosthunters.me. During our stay we chose the St Pierre Hotel to rest our heads. It is made up of several buildings including former slave quarters. Part of hotel was built in 1790. This sounded like a place that may have some stories.

Historic and Haunted Jefferson Hotel

I took my grandchild and we made another trip to the Jefferson Hotel. This has got to be one of my all time favorite places to stay. This time we took the trip in my fairly new SmartCar ForTwo Cabriolet. We had plenty of room for our overnight “stuff.” It is always a blast to run down the highway with the car top down. Mileage is super too. I averaged 41 mpg on this trip. Besides, I think the convertible looks pretty cool parked outside the hotel in its “half of a parking space.” More on Jefferson, TX is coming so stayed tuned.

Haunted Cedar Creek Lake Book

by MarDeck on Apr.02, 2009, under Paranormal

I am working to complete my book about hauntings, myths and mysteries around Cedar Creek Lake. If you have any information you would like to pass on please send an email. I can be reached by mail at PO Box 73, Kemp, TX 75143.

I have heard stories about Tool, Eustace, Gun Barrel City, Malakoff and Peeltown along with other places. Surely someone has a story. I can always use more information about things I may have already covered. There are a lot of stories about new hauntings in this area partly because it has been a retirement community for a long time. There are mysterious lights, big foot sightings and so much more……….
