Trufire is curious if people coming will want to eat or hang out at the bar. If you could post a comment on what you prefer it will help in the planning. Check  Tweetup for more information.

My Sister who became LorettaLean on Twitter

by MarDeck on Apr.02, 2009, under Life After 50

I can train and play guitar!

I can train and play guitar!

Loretta and I decided it was time she started to learn about social media and marketing online. She has been a personal trainer with a supplement business for over 10 years. Loretta moved from Dallas to Frisco several years ago and had to give up some of her clients. She is a good trainer and found new clients. However, finding the right gym to train has been a feat. Loretta is using Next Level Fitness in Plano to train clients and is satisfied with the facility.

I think when we are over 50, and she is 52, it takes our brains longer to learn new stuff. I have gone to her home several times to help set up Twitter, Facebook, a new gmail email address and a blog at Loretta Lean for her to use. This has been fun and Loretta can be a hoot. The first project for Loretta to learn was/is Twitter and she picked it up fast. In fact I think we are going to plan a tweetup for April. If you have any questions for Loretta you can find her on Twitter and what ever you do – Don’t make the hulk mad!

Don't make the Hulk mad!

Don't make the Hulk mad!

Now for the fun part of my sister. She can sing, write music and lyrics. As a child she was in children’s theater and dinner theater. I’ve seen her pick up an instrument and play it without ever playing that instrument. Of course that was when she was a child. Oh, she would write plays, make the costumes, use neighborhood kids and dogs to put on her productions. In high school she played bass guitar and several years ago decided to learn rhythm.

I love the songs she has written. They are funny and sad. You have to watch out for the guy with the broken windshield. Then there’s the guy who needs to step aside because of the long line behind him! Our next step is to take her music to YouTube.

Her sense of humor is the best. When we get started you better look out. I glad we are friends and sisters. Check her out on Twitter as LorettaLean.
