OK – here’s the deal. I got a brilliant idea to get more followers on Twitter without asking my buddy, John Raser. He’s a neat, young up and coming golfer who’s a lot of fun. To his suprize I decided to try and beat him with more followers by May 31, 09. The only rule is that I have to have more followers than him by this date. When I beat John Raser @MarDeck I will give a case of Blu Frog Energy to one of my followers , who will be picked at random. This has a $95 retail value. It is a yummy, low calorie energy drink with no artificial sweetners. The sugar is in the fruit juices.

I received a Twitter Ebook by Murray Newlands to read. It’s a handy tool for anyone new to Twitter. It’s easy to read and understand. Information in the e-book breaks down what Twitter is is and what to do so that even my mother can understand how to tweet. The e-book is also good for regular users of Twitter.

I have been on Twitter as MarDeck for a while now and had to learn by doing. It could have been a lot easier and quicker to get up to snuff if I had read an e-book with information such as:

• what is twitter
• why use Twitter
• the purpose of Twitter
• advantges of Twitter
• how to set up Twitter
• your photo on Twitter
• your bio on Twitter, posting tweets on Twitter
• does and don’ts of Twitter
• monetizing Twitter and much more

While reading the book I learned valuable information even I didn’t know. If you didn’t know Twitter is used by thousands to build their business, form relationships and just have fun. I have a blast with Twitter while growing my business at the same time. This is priceless, but could become worth cold hard cash in the future. I like to use Twitter to send people to this blog.  Friends have come from tweeting as have “tweetups,” a new social activity for meeting tweeple in person.

Hardly a day goes by without hearing someone on TV mention Twitter. It’s even mentioned in phone service commercials!
